Evendale Recreation Department - Picnic Shelter House - Enclosed

• YOU MUST BE AN EVENDALE RESIDENT OR EVENDALE BUSINESS (business function only)  TO RENT OUR FACILITIES.
• Electricity; eight round tables with chairs for eight seats per table (64 chairs); microwave oven; restrooms; fireplace; walk-in cooler; storage area and a large (5') outdoor grill. 
• A shelter house permit must be completed, and then a deposit secured at the Recreation Center during regular office hours.
• Use of the shelter house is for recreational activities; Evendale resident family picnics; and Evendale business functions. 
• If the shelter house is being reserved on Saturday or Sunday, the key must be picked up at the Recreation Center before the close of business on Saturday. The renter must submit a $100.00 deposit check in exchange for the key. 
• The permit must be retained at all times by the applicant and presented to the supervisor or police department upon request. 
• The applicant must be in attendance 100% of the time of the event. 
• The shelter house can be rented as early as one year to the day of an event.  Example:  Smith Reunion. . . March 17, 2025. . . Reservation . . . March 17, 2024. 
• The key is given only to the applicant or a pre-designated resident.

Capacity:  Accommodates ninety (90) people overall.

Fees:  

A rental fee ($100) payment is required at time of reservation. 

A deposit ($100) check is due the day of or the day before when you pick up the keys.
Make checks payable to the Village of Evendale. 

• Cash, resident or business credit card, resident or business (company) check accepted for rental fee. The rental fee is due at the time of rental.
• The deposit check is due the day of or the day before when you pick up the key.
• The key/cleaning deposit (separate check) will be returned by mail to the applicant after the rental, and the Supervisor will submit an inspection report to the recreation office detailing any issues left by the renter(s).

Winter-Time Rentals:

Please be aware Village roadways take priority for the snow plow trucks. We cannot guarantee the road up to, and the parking lot for, the Enclosed Shelter House will be cleared in time for your rental.
