Archery Camp by City Archers
Mondays June 1, 8, 15, and 22
$70 per person by May 1 $80/non-residents May 2
7 - 13 year olds 8:30 - 9:30 am (Min. 5 and max. 15)
Instructor: Michael Bannister
All equipment will be provided. Learn how to properly handle archery equipment, proper shooting stances, safety procedures of an archery range, properly shoot and aim the bow, and HAVE FUN while learning. When signing up, please let us know if your camper is RIGHT or LEFT-handed.
Basketball Camp with trainer Sherwin Anderson
Tuesdays June 2, 9, 16, and 23 $50 per person
12:30 – 1:15 pm 1st – 2nd grade (Min. 4)
1:15 – 2:15 pm 3rd – 5th grade (Min. 4)
2:15 – 3:15 pm 6th – 8th grade (Min. 4)
Players of all skills are welcome – beginners are encouraged to sign up! (Fun in the Sun staff will take kids to and from camp.)
Pickleball Camp
Tuesdays June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 7 and 14
6-8 years of age 12:45 – 1:30 pm
9-13 years of age 1:30 - 2:15 pm
$30 per person
Campers will learn how the basics of playing pickleball, a life-long, healthy sport!

1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Ages: 5-13
Fee. $95
Transportation will be provided to and from Northlands by a recreation department staff member, who will stay with the skaters. Camp is limited to 12. Ice skate rental included in sign-up fee.
Golf Camp –@ The Acres Golf Center
Mondays June 1, 8, 15, 22, July 6, and July 13
1:00 – 2:00 pm
$75 per person
8 years old – 8th grade (Min. 6, Max. 12) Players of all skills are welcome – beginners are encouraged to sign up! The camp introduces the game of golf, basic swing techniques, and proper fundamentals through fun games and exciting challenges. The camp will be comprised of three main areas of focus: full swing, short game & putting. Golf clubs and range balls will be available for use. (Rec staff will transport kids to The Acres Golf Center. Bring water bottles/sunscreen – it can be very hot during this camp, so please send hats, sunglasses, etc.) Trainers: 3 or 4 high-level HS Golfers will be supervised by Rec & The Acres Staff.
Volleyball Camp
Wednesdays June 3, 10, 17, 24
1:00 – 2:30 pm 1st – 4th graders
2:30 – 4:00 pm 5th- 7th graders
Fee: $75
(min 4/max 10)
Camp will use the Wallyball net in our racquetball court for camp. Carly Petersman will lead this instructional camp that will work on basic skills: passing, hitting and serving. This camp will build skills and confidence, while encouraging teamwork. Come make friends, crush some rallies, and discover why volleyball is the best sport on the planet.
Ultimate Frisbee Camp led by Cincinnati Ultimate
Thursdays - June 4, 11, 18, 25, July 2, and July 9
1:00 – 3:00 pm 8-12 year olds
Fee: $40 by May 1 $50/non-residents May 2
Learn to play a new sport - Ultimate Frisbee! Combining many elements of other field sports, Ultimate Frisbee is an active, exciting, and team-building game that helps build athletic skills and confidence. Local coaches will be on hand to teach frisbee throwing techniques and game rules, all centered on sportsmanship and teamwork. During this camp, we'll learn a lot, play mini-games & scrimmages, and have lots of fun! All players will receive a standard ultimate frisbee flying disc. Players should come wearing closed-toed running shoes and bring plenty of water.
